Highlights of the 7 day yoga retreat in Greece.

Me and my mom spent a magical week in Greece. I wrote a whopping 19 pages of my thoughts in my bullet journal. Here are some of my favorite moments. Silent meditation and movement practice by the ocean. Every morning began with 30 minutes of meditation and an hour of Qigong by the ocean. It was such a…

The power of Hugs

How do you feel about hugging people? For me, hugging is one of those rare forms of physical touch that I actually enjoy as someone who is hyper sensitive to touch. If I feel comfortable hugging someone, that is a sign that I trust them completely. Letting others in my personal space is not easy. When I…

Current skincare favorites 2023 edition.

It’s time for an update. — Haircare: Nettle shampoo by Frantsila herb farm. This hasn’t changed since the last time. It will probably be my favorite shampoo forever. I love how gentle it is for my scalp. It helps to soothe any itchiness that might be present. My hairbrush of choice is from tangleteazer, and I’m always using these “phone line” hair ties.

“ it was just a joke”

The fine line between good and very inappropriate jokes. Yesterday, something very uncomfortable happened. I was just casually standing outside of my workplace. Then my colleague came. Him: Are you sunbathing or something? Me: I don’t know. Him: I think that you should go and put a bikini on. Me: *uncomfortable laughing * A few minutes later, I started crying and shaking. The whole situation was so absurd that my first instinct was to laugh, but this comment made me feel gross.

Connecting with my inner child.

Connecting with my inner child. Finding joy in creativity. Everything began with my decision to write a thank you letter for my coworker and deciding to add a little painting with one of my poems written on it to go with that. This made me think of what I should do about all the unpublished poems I have on my diary. It sparked an idea of painting more paintings and attaching a different poem to each one. My plan is to put all of these in blank envelopes…

Quality time with family.

We tried a new local restaurant yesterday. My dinner of choice was a goat-cheese sallad with some alcohol free apple sider on the side. The food was yummy, and I loved the atmosphere overall. People took some pictures, but other than that, our dinner time was completely phone free, and we were focused on chatting with each other. What a fun way to spend the evening. 💜

9 Questions to brighten up your day

Writing prompt A fragrance that brings back great memories. I am going to mention a few. First one that comes to mind is cardamom. My grandma used to bake a lot of sweet desserts, mainly baked goods similar to cinnamon rolls. The fragrance of cardamom reminds me of the times…

The beauty of finding your community.

The beauty of finding your community. Joining a yoga festival for the very first time. It has been ten years since the yoga and wellness festival was organized in Finland for the very first time. We were there as new yoga instructors with a mission of spreading information about our programs for the people who might be interested in supporting our cause of making yoga easily accessible for everyone.

Our bodies are wise.

We just need to listen. Yesterday, I faced the fear of traveling to this specific railway station where a scary incident happened some time ago. It was difficult to do but a friend of mine was there to support me. Afterward, I got this intuitive feeling that my body wanted…
